The City of Paris is offering visually-impaired people remote controls that activate sound modules on traffic lights, making Paris more accessible.
What for?
Some traffic lights are equipped with sound modules.
They emit an audible message informing pedestrians of the status and location of the light.
Example: "Rouge piéton boulevard Raspail".
When the pedestrian signal turns green, an audible cue signals that it is safe to cross.

For visually impaired people living in Paris.

Up to 4 remote controls per request (1 for the applicant + 3 for other beneficiaries/users) and per household.
For more remote controls, you can fill in several forms.
How?
The request must be made via the digital service available below.
The request is processed within a few days by the City of Paris.
The remote control is delivered against signature to the applicant's home address according to the postal delivery times in force.
Important
The form must be completed in a single operation (no draft mode or intermediate recording).
Make sure you have all the supporting documents before you start.
What supporting documents should I provide?
Identity
To prove your identity or that of another beneficiary, you must provide :

National identity card

Driver's license

Passeport
ou -
Residence permit
These documents must show the date of birth and be valid.
If the beneficiary is :

A child (adult or minor): add the family record book (livret de famille)

A protected adult: add the tutorship or guardianship decree
Handicap visuel
To justify your disability or that of another beneficiary, you must provide :

Carte Mobilité Inclusion (CMI) mention Invalidité with mention Cécité
or -
Medical certificate or opinion from a healthcare professional
Domicile

Rent receipt
or -
Home insurance contract
or -
Energy or water bill less than 3 months old
The document must include the applicant's full name and address.
If you are lodging, an attestation on honor of lodging drawn up and signed by the host, dated less than 3 months before the date of application. The host is liable in the event of fraud.
