Parked cars in Paris

To facilitate the orderly conduct of sporting events at Paralympic venues and road races, the Paris Police Prefecture has implemented parking restrictions on public roads. Consequently, parking on some streets is forbidden, either on a temporary basis or for extended durations.

Parking restrictions on roads during the Games

The Olympic and Paralympic Games will be restricting parking in Paris from July to September. For security reasons, the French government has been imposing parking restrictions in all Paris arrondissements since early July.
Road races have a particular impact on parking, from the moment the race barriers are erected (see interactive map below).

Where can I find delivery and parking spaces during the Paralympic Games?
The three tools Visualiz, Itinériz and Numériz list all Parisian delivery areas located in Games-related zones and enable you to easily visualize :

- periodic spaces, which can be used from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays. They can also be used for parking between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m., on Sundays and public holidays.

- permanent parking spaces, available 24/7. These spaces are strictly dedicated to loading and unloading operations, and are limited to 30 minutes with the blue disc.

Check if your vehicle has been moved or impounded

If you think your vehicle may have been subject to a removal or relocation procedure due to these restrictions, this service allows you to search by vehicle registration number.

What you need to know

The search here concerns vehicles registered in France. For foreign plates, the number can be entered with or without spaces or hyphens. We also advise you to try out different formats.
If your search is unsuccessful, we invite you to repeat it at a later date, as your vehicle may be in the process of being impounded.
If your vehicle has been collected outside Paris, use the government's digital service.
Has your vehicle been moved or impounded? All the information you need to find it.

Other parking offers

The restrictions described in the previous chapters only apply to surface parking.
There is also a wide range of parking lots in Paris.
Rates tailored to your needs and profile: Parisian residents, Ile-de-France residents, "light-duty" residents, electric car users, motorcyclists or cyclists… an overview of the City of Paris' parking facilities.
