Fidèle à son univers bricolé et poétique, Michel Gondry donne vie à une aventure aussi fantaisiste que sensible, dans laquelle une garagiste bricoleuse se retrouve, par un étrange coup du destin, chargée d’organiser la prochaine édition de Nuit Blanche. Ce making-of décalé nous plonge dans les coulisses de l’événement, révélant ses projets artistiques à travers un récit mêlant humour, poésie et absurdité. Mais au-delà du clin d’œil aux dessous de la création, le film célèbre surtout une lutte : celle des artistes et de tous les résistants de la nuit qui tentent, à travers l’art et sa célébration, de raviver l’imaginaire et de briser la monotonie d’un monde diurne trop rigide. Voici une ode à la liberté, où la nuit devient un refuge vibrant et poétique face à l’uniformisation du jour. Ici, la création ne se contente pas d’exister, elle agit comme un souffle libérateur, un éclat de lumière dans l’ombre du quotidien.

Michel Gondry has created an animated film using paper cut-outs especially for Nuit Blanche 2025. True to his handcrafted, poetic universe, he brings to life a whimsical yet touching adventure in which a handywoman garage mechanic unexpectedly finds herself in charge of organizing the next edition of Nuit Blanche. This offbeat behind-the-scenes story reveals the inner workings of the event, unfolding the artistic projects through a narrative that blends humor, poetry, and absurdity. But beyond this playful glimpse into the creative process, the film ultimately celebrates a deeper struggle: one of artists and night resisters, who seek—through art and its celebration—to reignite imagination and disrupt the monotony of an overly rigid daytime world. It is an ode to freedom, where night becomes a vibrant, poetic sanctuary from the uniformity of the day. Here, creation does more than exist—it breathes, it liberates, it shines like a burst of light in the shadows of everyday life.
