Focus on opening shows

Défilé by Angelin Preljocaj
July 29 and 31 at 5:30 p.m.
Enter the world of Angelin Preljocaj, one of the leading choreographers on the French and international contemporary scene, for a moment of grace and emotion inspired by his masterful adaptation of Swan Lake (2020). 40 dancers from Preljocaj's ballet will light up the Parc des Champions stage in a virtuosic, electro-tinged performance that blends modernity and classical ballet.
The Paris Sports Ball par Vinii Revlon
August 1, 6 and 8 at 5:30 p.m.
Voguing is a competition that merges dance, fashion, and performance, judged by an extraordinary panel to honor inclusion and diversity. In a show as extravagant as it is spectacular, voguing legend Vinii Revlon takes us into a colorful and delirious universe for a ball tailored to the Olympic theme. Born of the LGBTQIA communities in the 1960s, voguing has become a powerful symbol of self-acceptance. The Paris Sport Ball for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be no exception to the rule, and will in turn celebrate the values of equality, respect and tolerance so dear to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. One thing's for sure: it's going to be a show full of surprises!
Défilé chorégraphique by Mourad Merzouki
August 5 and 7 at 5:30 p.m., and August 8 and 9 at 3 p.m.
Choreographer Mourad Merzouki brings together 30 dancers and performers to celebrate medal-winning athletes. This performance, celebrating urban culture, features breakers, stilt-walkers, and BMX and roller-skating artists, all taking the stage for a spectacular display. Set to original music by Marc Debart, the show highlights the originality and energy of the urban arts, magnified by the creativity of Mourad Merzouki and his Compagnie Käfig.
